After eleven years of dedication to the mission of helping the developing world walk as the Executive Director, Winfried Danke will be departing from the Prosthetics Outreach Foundation.
Winfried has led the foundation with creativity and commitment for the past eleven years, overseeing the growth and successful program implementation of POF’s overseas sites. However, the frequent travel required to manage the Foundation’s ever-expanding international programs has become increasingly difficult for him to balance with his family responsibilities. POF is thrilled for him and excited about the opportunities ahead for the foundation.
A search committee has been formed and is actively engaged to find a permanent successor. Mary Gladhart will act as Interim Executive Director in the following months, and has resigned as Board President. Dr. Robert Veith, former Board President and POF Medical Director, will be Acting Board President. In the meantime, it is with confidence that we can report that Prosthetics Outreach Foundation’s programs remain strong.
